On Lasts
Since my due date is around the corner on March 23rd, I've been thinking a lot about my "lasts" before Brees decides to arrive.
As Tom and I grocery shop, we bought what could be our last gallon of milk.
I could have just spent my last Wednesday teaching this year.
We could have filled up the car for the last time.
As we go out to eat (probably more than we should) I often think this could be the last meal out with just the two of us.
I'm sure that soon I will be writing a lot about about firsts. First smile. First solid foods. First steps. But for now, I continue to think about my lasts.

On a Visit from a Best Friend
At the end of February, my best friend Jen and her husband Mark flew in to visit from Maine. We spent the weekend shopping, folding baby clothes, and just hanging around the house. It was perfect. I wish we could get together more often.
